Pauline H. Caskey June 28, 1919 - June 27, 2006 Resident of Concord Pauline died June 27th in Alamo after a short illness. She would have been 87 years old on June 28th. She was born in Sperry, Oklahoma to Charles and Lillie Hough, the youngest of three children. Pauline received her Bachelor's Degree from East Central State College in Oklahoma and her Master's Degree from the University of Oklahoma. In 1939 she married Eugene Caskey. They moved to California at the outbreak of WWII to aid in the war effort. They had one child, Robert. Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She taught school for 30 years, 20 of those being in the Mt. Diablo School District. Surviving are her son, Robert and wife, Kathleen of Concord; granddaughters, Michelle Caskey-Hill of Concord, Shannon Polkinghorn and husband, Michael of Walnut Creek; grandson, Douglas Hill of Clayton; great-grandchildren, Keaton and Kelsey Hill, Carlie, Sarah and Matthew Polkinghorn; & seven nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; brother, Claude Hough; and sister, Mildred Shugart. Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday, July 3 in the Redwood Chapel at Oakmont Memorial Park from 4-7 p.m., and for a memorial service on Wednesday, July 5 at 11 a.m. in the Inspiration Chapel, also at Oakmont Memorial Park.
