Billy Ferrell Neely passed away Dec. 5, 2006, from colon cancer. He was 77 years old. Billy was born Nov. 29, 1929, in Marland, Okla. He married Renata Bucholz on July 13, 1947. He served in the Army, fighting in the Korean War. After the war he returned to his family in California. He held several jobs in his lifetime, the last 20 years as a merchandise manager at Sears. Billy enjoyed woodworking, traveling and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Renata; sons, Bill and Ron; daughters, Linda and Norma; granddaughters, Shiloh, Jesseca, and Michelle; grandson, Brandon; and great-grandsons, Ryan and Vincent. He is also survived by two sisters, Wanda Templeton and Pauline Smyke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Jewel; brother, Jack; and sister, June. Billy was a compassionate, honest, loyal and loving man. Nothing meant more to him than spending time with his family and the love of his wife. He was all that a man should be and will remain a large part of our hearts forever. Billy requested no services. He will be cremated and interred at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver. Please make any contributions or donations to the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver in gratitude for their loving care in his final days.
