Born Jan. 30, 1913, in Lightning Creek, Okla., Mrs. Stuart was the daughter of the late James and Rosetta Dildine. She was a long time resident of Woodland before moving to Sacramento in January. She was a homemaker all of her adult life. She loved doing craft projects, according to family members, with flower arranging as her favorite activity. Mrs. Stuart is survived by her daughters, Joanne Tschoepe and husband Gene of New Braunsfield, Texas, Joan Caya and husband Earl of Minden, Nev., Dorothy Thomas of Woodland and Darlene Merrifield and husband David of Sacramento; sisters, Alberta Donelson of Collinsville, Okla., Doris Marler of Nowata, Okla., and Colleene Schmidt of Eugene, Ore.; sisters-in-law, Ermal Dildine of Bartlesville, Okla. and Erabelle Dildine of Collinsville, Okla. Also surviving her are 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stuart was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil D. Stuart in Dec. 6, 2001; sister, Hazel Burch and brothers, Arlie Dildine and James Dildine Jr. Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 18, in McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. A funeral service is scheduled at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, at the Church of the Nazarene, 100 Woodland Ave. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
