D. Reynolds September 5, 1940 Okemah (Special) C. D. Reynolds Died Of Stroke Body of Okemah Resident Found in His Hotel Room The funeral of Clarence D. Reynolds, 68, who was found dead in his room in a local hotel here today, will be held at the Buchanan Funeral Home chapel here at 3 P.M. tomorrow. The Rev. Kenneth Garrison, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Castle under the direction of the Buchanan Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Frank Merrell, John Storm, Wes Kennedy, Murray Burton, Aubrey Carr, Walker McFadden, Jim Douglas, and Tony Eoanau. Mr. Reynolds, who lived in Okfuskee county for the past 35 years, was found dead this morning by a hotel employee. He had apparently succumbed, about midnight, to a paralytic stroke. Dr. C.M. Bloss, who examined the body, said. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lois Mitchell, Okmulgee; Mrs. Mary Ewing, Dallas, and Mrs. Nadine Gill, Houston; two brothers, C.L. Reynolds, Muskogee, and Sid Reynolds, Seminole, and three sisters, Mrs. T.L. Hester, Warner, and Mrs. Gertrude Smith and Mrs. Ella Steelman, both of Pasadena (Calif.). Reynolds was the son of John W. and Nancy (Williams) Reynolds. He is buried at the Castle Cemetery in Castle, Oklahoma, where his wife, Leila (Price) Reynolds, their son, Miles, and his mother, Nancy Reynolds are also buried.
