He died May 14, 1970 in Okemah. He came to Okemah from Kiowa in 1926 where he had lived since that time. He was well-known in the area as a stockman and cattle buyer. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Neva Danenhour of the home in Okemah; one son, Russell Danenhour, Okemah; three sisters, Mrs. Jane Mitchell, Kiowa; Mrs. Hattie Ellis, Fayetteville, Ark.; and Mrs. Anna Cook, Seattle, Wash.; two granddaughters, Rusty Danenhour, Okemah; and Gaile Bean, Okemah; and one great- granddaughter, Emily Bean, Okemah. His first wife, Jewel Adams, preceded him in death in 1956. Pall bearers were Wiley Brewer, Joe Cheatwood, Clyde Clay, Drew Donathon, Louie Earnest, Cleo Garrett, Don Houk, and Dr. G.G. Schmitt. Burial was in Highland Cemetery.
