Paul Heard officiating. He died Mon., May 24 in Prague. Born May 3, 1907 in Okemah to Samuel Monroe and Alice (Self) Fipps, he and Edna Ruth McElhannon married June 1, 1926 and she preceded him in death Oct. 22, 1987. He was a resident of Okfuskee County most of his life. Also preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers; five sisters and one grandaughter. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Verna Fipps, "Corky" and "Skeet" Fipps and Geary and Donna Fipps, all of Paden; two daughters and one son-in-law, Frances Dugger, Tulsa and "Cricket' (sic) and Lynn Short, Paden; one sister-in-law, Lorene Fipps, Prague; one brother-in-law, Rev. Marvin McElhannon, Okmulgee; 13 grandchidren; 32 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Interment was at Paden Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Prague.
