He died Mon., May 31. Born Mar. 26, 1943 to Walter and Betty Fields Harjo in Holdenville, he had worked security for Tholpthlocco Tribal Town from 1986, until Jan. He was a member of High Springs Baptist Church, and has lived in this area all his life. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include two sons, Wiley William (Butch) Harjo, Jr., and Jeffery Harjo, both of Okemah; two brothers, Robert Wayne Harjo and Charles Woods, both of Oklahoma City; six sisters, Lovey Mealer of Oklahoma City, Francis McDaniel of Edmond, Emma Jean Baker of Mansford, Anna May Taylor of Okemah, Sharon Kay Albertson of Guthrie and Karen Kay Collins of Nobel and a host of other relatives and friends. Interment was at High Springs Cemetery under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home.
