Haydon is survived by his wife, Thelma, of the home; a son, Paul Haydon, and two grandchildren. Coming here as a young man, Haydon first was associated with William Dill, father of Okemahn Glenn Dill. He acquired his first land from the elder Dill and began farming native pecans. In succeeding years, Haydon owned and operated the largest native pecan grove in the world. At one time his pecan orchards exceeded 2,000 acres. As his operations increased, Haydon's fame grew over Oklahoma and throughout the southwest.
