Paul Heard officiating and Rev. Melvin Duke assisting. He died Mon., May 17 at the Creek National Hospital in Okemah. Born Jan. 30, 1909 at Stroud, he was one of 12 children born to Arthur Jackson and Nora Fontaine Jackson. On Mar. 1, 1978 he married Temple Webster. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Depew and was a retired oilfield worker and farmer. He moved to Okemah from Depew about 23 years ago. Preceding him in death were his parents; one daughter, Patricia Hurt; one grandson, Richard Scott Graham; six brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Temple Jackson of the home in Okemah; two sons, Bill Jackson of Tulsa and David Jackson of Depew; five daughters, Lenora McGuire of Depew, Barbara Cox of Bristow, Linda Caldwell of Mannford, Diana Graham of Broken Arrow and Janie Birch of Lenexa, Kan.; two step-sons, Don Langwell of Seminole and Jim Langwell of San Antonio, Tex.; one step-daughter, Wilma Plank of Springfield, Ohio; four sisters, Lila Copenhaver of Cushing; Vera Bell of Stroud, Ruth Lloyd of Chandler and Marie Hearron of Golden, Col.; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Interment was at the Bristow City Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
