D. (Jeanetta) Kezer who died of a heart attack Saturday morning at her home in Okemah. Mrs. Kezer had been a long-time employee of the News Leader since 1960 working as the society editor. She began working for the paper back in the late 1950's as a proof reader and took over on the Ladie's Desk in 1960, a position she held until her death. Mrs. Kezer had been an active participant in social and civic groups around Okemah. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she worked and actively supported the Junior Department of the church. She was a member of the Business Women's Club and very active in school affairs. Mrs. Kezer married James D. Kezer in 1918 in Vinita later moving to Okemah. Her husband preceeded her in death in 1969. Funeral services are pending and will be announced by the Parks Funeral Home.
