He was the third child of thirteen children born to this union. He received his early religious and educational training in Oklahoma. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He was known to many as Pops and to some as Buck. Our brother knew no strangers, there were many young men and women he adopted to his family circle not only did he talk, he loved to help and advise in his everyday life. Millard was a friend to many and lived in a house by the side of the road. As a young man Millard relocated to Southern California where he was a construction worker in the Shipyards. In 1979, Millard moved to Fresno, California. He became a member of Masonic Lodge, 3rd Generation #5 in Fresno and was also a member of Construction General Laborers, Tunnel and Aqueduct Workers Local Union #324 of Martinez, California. He departed this life on April 17, 1991. Millard Marzett leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife - Mrs. Dovie Kirkland Marzett [of Oakland, CA]; one stepson - Eugene Green [of Oakland, CA]; one stepdaughter - Bobby Green [of Oakland, CA]; two brothers - Bennie Marzett and June Marzett, Jr. [both of Boley, OK]; five sisters - Inez Bowens and Clara B. Sykes [both of Fresno, CA], Alice Bell [of San Francisco, CA], Euphene Tomlin [of Boley, OK] and Dorsey M. Higgs [of Spencer, OK]; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. We love you but God loves you also. Rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus. Service: Cooley Funeral Chapel, Fresno, California, April 20, 1991
