Dovell Marzett was sixth of thirteen children born to June and Clara Marzett. He was born August 6, 1917 at Boley, Oklahoma. He confessed his faith in Christ in an early age. He was united in marriage to Linne Ree Bennett. He later moved to Hanford, California and united with Howard Chapel A.M.E. Church, Rev. M. Maize, pastor. He served as steward until death. He was also a member of Shrine Temple #5 and a member of the Third Generation Lodge No. 5. He leaves to mourn six children, four daughters, Mildred Halstead of Oklahoma City, Okla., Sharon Johnson of Richmond, Calif., Margaret and Ellen Allens of Fresno, California. Two sons, Cecil and Harold Marzett, both of Oakland, California. Seven sisters, Eulah Ramsey, San Bernadino, California, Rebecca Sykes, Inez Bowens, and Clara Sykes, all of Fresno, Calif., Alice Jean Bell, San Francisco, Calif., Euphene Tomlin of Boley, Okla., Dorsie Mae Higgs, Spencer, Okla.; and three brothers, Millard Marzett of Oakland, California, Bennie Marzett and Junior Marzett, both of Boley, Oklahoma. Ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services: Boley High School, January 6, 1979 Interment: Childville Cemetery
