Paul Heard officiating. He died Wed., May 19 in Wewoka. Born July 25, 1975 in Okemah, he was the son of Larry Don VanZant, Sr. and Rita LeMay. He graduated from Okemah High School in 1994 and joined the United States Marine Corps. He was of the Holiness faith and was living in Wewoka at the time of his death. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Evelyn and Jackie Dearman and one aunt, Debra VanZant. Survivors include his father and mother, Larry Don VanZant, Sr. and Rita VanZant; three brothers, Bobby VanZant of Pendleton, Ore. and Tyler VanZant and Rusell VanZant, both of Okemah; three sisters, Shawna Stanley of Medford, Ore., Nikki VanZant of Bakersfield, Calif. and Stephanie VanZant of Orlando, Fla.; grandparents, Don and Bobbie VanZant of Bristow and a host of other uncles, aunts and cousins. Pallbearers were Dallas Groves, Teddy Kallos, Robert Kenneda, Jamie Kennedy, Troy Stacy and Jerod Weaver. Interment was at Welty Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
