MARTHA ANN HADDEN. A simple burial service for Mrs. Hadden, age 92, widow of a 

Confederate Cavalryman from Texas marked the close of the Confederate section of the National 
Cemetery at Springfield, MO. Applications for burials of Confederates were closed 1 Feb. 1962. Mrs. 
Hadden’s was the last one approved. Mrs. Hadden was 21 years younger than her husband, Thomas Henry 
Hadden who died June 9, 1939. (Dallas Times Herald, Sat., May 23, 1964, p. 4-A.)
