MARTIN CEMETERY

N Sooner Rd, 1/8 mi S of NE 122 St (1/3 in. W of Sooner Rd on dirt 
road up hill into woods) 

The Richard Tirey Martin Family Cemetery was established in 1889. 
Mr Martin and his family participated in the 1889 Oklahoma Land Run. 
Mrs Martin gave birth to a baby boy soon after arriving on their 
homestead and the baby was buried on the highest point of their land
beginning the cemetery. Mr Larry Weiss, great-great-grandson of RT 
Martin, provided the information.
