Adwon Adwon Cole E. Adwon, 40, of Norman, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, in Norman. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the Primrose Chapel in Norman with the Rev. Father Justin McPheeters of Holy Ascension Orthodox Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Primrose Funeral Service is handling arrangements. Mr. Adwon was born June 19, 1963, in Oklahoma City, to Edward Ruede and Sumya (Sleem) Adwon. He graduated with a journalism degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1986. He worked was sports editor for the Sweetwater Reporter. He married Jocelyn J. Walla Aug. 16, 1997, in Houston. He was an entrepreneur of several small businesses until 1998. He then enrolled in the University of Oklahoma Law School and graduated in May 2001. He passed the bar in October 2001. He established his practice in Oklahoma City and was a criminal defense attorney. He won the First Year Moot Court Competition and was a National Trial Team semi-finalist. He was inducted into the Order of Barristers. He was a member of ABA Moot Court, National Moot Court Teams and an Inn of Court. He loved his dogs and was an avid Harley-Davidson rider. Mr. Adwon was preceded in death by his brother, William Edward Adwon. Mr. Adwon is survived by his wife, Jocelyn Adwon of the home; parents, Edward and Sumya of Norman; and many nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Adwon's name to the College of Law, University of Oklahoma, 300 W.
