Eddie Malphrus officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with Krien Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Born in Oklahoma City on October 16, 1944 to J.A. and Ruth (Renneger) Arms, he died Monday, Dec. 26 in Sulphur. Prior to moving to Sulphur when he was five, he lived in Bethany. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 1962 and later worked in steel construction, building bridges in the Dallas, Texas area for many years. In 1983, he began working seasonally for Chickasaw National Recreation Area and was a Sulphur fence builder. He enjoyed hunting but fishing was his passion. He was a member of three bass clubs and he coached in the Sulphur Kids Association's baseball, basketball and football teams. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church. Surviving are a companion and friend, Phyllis Robbins; two sons, Alvin Dale Arms, Sulphur and Daniel David "Boone" Arms and Dejay Baker and son, Weston, Sulphur; one daughter, Sherrie Sue Peterson, Shawnee; four grandchildren, Brandy, Jake, Ben and Bradley and one great grandchild, Lala. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers were Rick Thompson, Larry Palmer, Jeff Shirley, Bruce Gibson, Brace Murphy, and Alan Stover.
