All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Northlawn Memorial Gardens--Dumas TX Rosa Abbott DUMAS - Rosa Abbott, 70, of Canyon and formerly of Dumas, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Temple Baptist Church in Dumas with the Rev. Toby Huckabee, son-in-law and pastor of Illinois Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark., and the Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Abbott was born in Oklahoma City and lived in Dumas from 1979 until 1996 when she moved to Canyon. She was a homemaker and member of Temple Baptist Church. She worked for the Green Acres School cafeteria in Dumas. She married Cliff Abbott in 1996 at Dumas. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Rosa Lee Huckabee of Cane Hill, Ark.; two sons, Larry Bontke and Wesley Bontke, both of Dumas; a sister, Betty Lou Weige of Dumas; two brothers, Edward Wilkins of Plainview and Floyd Wilkins of California; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will be at 804 Normandy in Dumas. They suggest memorials be to Temple Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 311 N. Maddox, Dumas, TX 79029; or Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176-.
