Wanda L., departed from this earthly life on Tues. March 25, 2003. She died at the age of 75, from complications due to bladder/ pelvic cancer. She was born Wanda Lee Mount on Sept. 23, 1927 at Stigler, OK to her late parents, Doy & Hattie Mount. In her younger years, Wanda attended Porum Public Schools. From her first marriage were born two sons, Ernest & Charles Stephens, and one daughter, Pam Stephens, whom developed lupus and passed away while a Senior at Classen High School. During this time, Wanda was employed by the late Lyle Smith in his dry cleaning business. Later in 1964, Wanda married the love of her life, Ray Albright and from this union was born a son, David. Working by her husband's side, Wanda assisted her husband Ray in founding Ray Albright Steel Products, Inc. located at 1600 S. May in 1973. She worked as office manager and enjoyed working with her fellow employees over the years. She continued to serve as the corporation's secretary and treasurer until her death. Other activities during her life included: Cub Scout Mother, Sunday School teacher; manager of the Richard M. Nixon 1968 Presidential Campaign in South OKC; candidate for State Representative in 1970 and later served as a precinct election worker. From 1985 to 1999, she was a cooperator of a cow/calf farm at Sulphur, OK, while living in OKC. Wanda was a member of the South Oklahoma City Rotary Anns until women became eligible to be Rotarians. She was very active in helping Ray serve in his many capacities in Rotary International and the South OKC Rotary club. Wanda is a Paul Harris Fellow and a major donor to the Rotary Foundation. She was a former member of the Epworth Methodist Church and the Southern Hills Methodist Church. Wanda is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ray B. Albright of the home; sons, David, who works for the Ray Albright Steel Products, Inc., and his wife, Shelly and their children, Heather & Brenton, Ernest Stephens of Norman, OK and Charles Stephens, Fire Chief for the City of Moore, OK, and his wife, Kathy a nd their children, Adam & Renee & her husband, Kyle Trumbly, grandson, John Stephens of Alaska; brothers, Donal Mount & wife Anna, Doyle Mount & wife Elwanda, & their children and families. Survivors also include Wanda's in-law's: Dan & Opal Albright of Pauls Valley, Irene Fine of OKC, Tom Albright of Lewisville, TX, Kirby & Lee Albright of Rockwall, TX, Joe & June Albright of Sulphur, OK, Nadine Adamo of Carrollton, TX and several nieces & nephews. Services to celebrate her life will be held 10:00 AM Sat. March 29, 2003 at the South Colonial Chapel of Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary with Rev. Robert VanHouse officiating.
