Beavin, 44 years, a former Cheyenne attorney and real estate man of Oklahoma City, died October 19, 1951, at his home at Nicoma Park. Beavin was a native of Roger Mills County; he moved to Cheyenne during his childhood. He was admitted to the state bar in 1931, after serving six years as County Attorney, he returned to private practice, and was active in Cheyenne until the spring of 1949, when he suffered a stroke. He moved to Nicoma Park at that time. Early this year he became owner of the Tinker Real Estate business, but was forced to retire when he became seriously ill four months ago. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ollie Beavin, home address; a daughter, Mrs. Kathlyn Calvert; four brothers, Hagan Beavin, Crawford; Paul Beavin, Cheyenne; Roy Beavin, Oklahoma City; Lewis Beavin, Lawton; four sisters, Mrs. Virginia Murphy, Cheyenne; Mrs. Mabel Eckroat, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Agnes Buntus, Ardmore, and Mrs. Esther Kelley, Tulsa, and three grandchildren. Requiem mass was at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 1951 in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Cheyenne. Burial was in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
