She was born March 25, 1962 in Tulsa and had been a life long OKC area resident, living in Yukon since 1981. Amanda was a member of Our Lords Community Church where she and her husband had been very active in the childrens ministry. She was a positive witness to everyone she met. She enjoyed writing, being in the outdoors and being with her family both immediate and extended. In early years she was happily involved with Rainbow Girls, Demolay and Flag Corp at P. C. West and O. U.. After transferring to Central State University she met her future soul mate, Scott Baze from Enid, OK (M.F.E.O.). She was a blessing, a gift from God, from the moment of her birth. She loved God, family, friends, her country, all her children and all animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, Houston and Bernice Spears, & Menter and Xuria Baker & her father-in-law Don Baze. She is survived by her husband Scott, her son Luke and her daughter Abby, all of the home. Also, her parents Mitch and Fleeta Baker, her brother and his wife, Drew and Kristi Baker, two little fountains of joy, Nicholas and Mitchell, her nephews. Surviving her in Enid is Scotts mother, Martha Baze. In Stillwater, Kurt and DeDee Baze & their daughters Brandi and Kirsti. In OKC, sisterin-law, Luann & Rev. Jim Hill & their children Benjamin, Rebecca & Josh, and numerous loving family members and dear friends. She is also survived by 'Norman' the family 'pound puppy', her staunch and constant companion and protector. Amanda's family wishes to praise and thank her husband Scott, without whom she, and we could not have borne her illness. His devotion to her is unmatched. No woman could be more blessed than to have a husband like Scott loving and caring so diligently. God has truly blessed our lives with Scott Baze. Her children Luke and Abby have been stalwart in there love and devotion to their mother. They were her sunshine. We would like all caregivers from Vista Care Hospice to know how much we appreciate their excelled care and concern for Amanda these last few months. A memorial service will be held at Our Lords Community Church, Tuesday, August 9, at 2:00 pm.
