All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::IOOF Cemetery--Norman OK Boggs, Jack Wayne Jack Wayne Boggs, age 65, passed away at the Veteran's Hospital in Oklahoma on February 4, 2003. Funeral services will be at Mayes Funeral Directors at 10:00 am Saturday, February 8, 2003. Interment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Mayes Funeral Directors. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm on Friday. He was born June 10, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas to Henry and Virginia Boggs. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard for four years with a lot of that time being in the Artic. He was a member of Veteran's of Foreign Wars, post #1857, and American Legion post #35. Jack had worked as a bus driver for the Oklahoma Transportation Company for twenty-five years prior to retiring in 1991. He enjoyed fishing, especially deep sea fishing, was a boxer in the Coast Guard and was a great Sports Fan. He is survived by four children: Jackie Nelson of Norman, Dorie Boggs of Norman, Kellie Wright of Norman, Ginger James and her husband, Bill of Mustang. By five grandchildren, Lyndsie, Marshall, Alex, Brandi, and Mary. By a sister, Joan Scott of Norman. He was also survived by many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donnie Boggs and a sister, Ruby Carter.
