All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Baughman, Robert William "Bob" Robert William 'Bob', 77, joined his Lord and Savior on Dec. 26, 2002, after an extended illness. He was born July 27, 1925 in OKC to William & Virgie Baughman. During WWII, Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. On Aug. 17, 1946, Bob married the love of his life, Sallie Parker, and together they reared two children. After 38 years of service, Bob retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone. He was an active member of the South OKC community, having once served as President of the Southwest Kiwanis, participated in a local gospel quartet, and faithfully attended the Shartel Church of God until his death. Bob was gifted in many areas of life. He was very artistic, musically inclined, and a successful businessman. Bob certainly loved the Lord with all his heart and loved to sing His praises. He had a warm smile and befriending personality that could capture everyone's heart. Most importantly, Bob dedicated his life and God-given talents to further the Lord's Kingdom. He was a kind, thoughtful, and generous man who led an exemplary Christian life. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sallie Baughman of the home; son, Bobby Baughman & wife, Linda of Plano, TX; daughter, Janice & husband, Robert Bruce of Moore, OK; brother, Roy Baughman & wife, Hazel of OKC; sisters: Juanita Cheek of Cameron, NC, Nadine Humphrey of OKC, and Carol & husband, Leroy Smith of Tuttle, OK; sisters in-law; Wanda Dunkin and Blanche Holt, both of OKC; granddaughters: Julie & Kimberly Baughman; grandsons: Greg Stroud & Austin Bruce; several nieces & nephews; and his special dog, Prissy. Bob will be deeply missed by all of his family and many friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shartel Church of God Building Fund, 11600 S. Western Ave, OKC, OK 73170. The family will receive friends for visitation from 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday, Dec. 29th at the funeral home. Services to celebrate his life will be held 10 AM Mon.
