Richard Wallace Blake, 3724 West Park place, died when his bicycle and a light delivery truck collided almost headon at Northwest Fifteenth street and Drexel boulevard. In the accident fatal to the Blake boy, Rollan Kestler, 21 years old, 1021 1/2 North Shartel avenue, the driver, told police the boy, riding east on Fifteenth street, swung wide around the corner in front of him and started to ride up the wrong side of the street. Lost Control of Truck Kestler said he swerved, lost control of the truck and it leaped a four- foot embankment into a field. The impact threw the boy over the handlebars of his bicycle and through the truck's windshield. Mrs. E. R. Bowins, 3129 Northwest Fourteenth street, who was walking near the corner, told police Kestler was unable to avoid the accident. Ben LaFon acting coroner, said he would withhold a verdict pending further police investigation. The driver was taken to police headquarters for a statement and booked for having improper brakes. He was released without bond. Richard's body was taken to the Garrison funeral home. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd O. Blake; a brother, Bobbie Beal, and a sister, Floydene, and the grandparents, Mr. Mrs. J. M. Blake, El Reno.
