Mrs. Isabell Catherine Blakely, 90, pioneer Oklahoma resident, died Monday after a long illness, in the home of a daughter, Mrs F. C. Fryman, Britton. Mrs. Blakely came to Oklahoma with her parents during the territory days. They setled in the Rush Springs vicinity. Her husband, the late Frederick C Blakely, donated the townsite at Rush Springs to the city, and the main street there, Blakely Aveneue, is named in his honor. Mrs Blakely and her husband, who in early years was a cattleman, came to Oklahoma City about 1912. Blakely in subsequent years was a druggist, real estate dealer and insurance representative. After his death in 1943, Mrs. Blakely made her home with her daughter in Britton. Mrs Blakely was past matron of the Order of the Easter Star, and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors are her daughters, Mrs Nellie Parks Humbphre, 1037 NE 9; Mrs, I W Gregg, 1201 NE 20; Mrs John Grady, Wichita Kan.; Mrs E C Fryman, Britton; Mrs Homer Etheridge, 11281/2 NE 19th; sons, Fred fo the Milner Hotel; and Paul of Los Angeles CA; and a sister, Mrs Laura Hannah, Dallas Texas.
