All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Greenlawn Cemetery--Checotah OK Bledsoe, Murle Dwight Murle Dwight Bledsoe, age 78, passed away Sunday August 28, 2005 in Choctaw, OK surrounded by family. Murle was born to Troy LeRoy 'Roy" Bledsoe and Bertha Eudora 'Dora" (Kirkland) Bledsoe on December 12, 1926 in Checotah, OK. At the age of sixteen Murle worked as a telegrapher for the MK&T railroad. He was then drafted into the army to serve during World War II. After serving his country, he attended school for four years of agricultural training. Then Murle spent many years working as a printing pressman for the Okmulgee Times, Southwest American in Ft. Smith, AR, the Duncan Banner, Norman Transcript, The Oklahoma Journal, and the Daily Oklahoman. Murle loved gardening, especially growing vegetables. He also enjoyed teaching other people what he knew about gardening as well as helping them with their gardens. If it could be grown, he could grow it. He loved to share what he grew with friends and family. He was always willing to help anyone in need. Murle was reunited in heaven with his parents, one sister Nola, and one brother Bob, as well as his oldest son Ronnie. He is survived by four bothers, Lee, Wint, Delbert, and Virgil, two sisters Ima Madewell and Betty Ann Fairimond, one son Michael and wife Beckie Bledsoe of Harrah, three daughters, Joan Higbee of Oklahoma City, Patty and husband Dwight Croom of Choctaw, and Janice and husband Terry Wright of Henderson, NV, Daughter-inlaw Carol Bledsoe of Midwest City and former wife Betty Jones of Del City. Murle is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Angie, Jennifer, Jeff, Chad, Julie, Shawna, Aaron, Jonathan, Stephanie, and Jessica and 6 great-grandchildren, Ashley, David, Trevor, Alexandria, Jalen, and Ariana; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Murle was proud to be an American and wanted us to say on his behalf 'God Bless America."Memorial services will be held 10:00am Friday September 2, 2005 at Barnes and Johnson Funeral Home in Midwest City with graveside services being held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah at 4:00pm.
