He was born on the family farm near Retrop, OK on Dec. 29, 1929. He attended school there until his high school graduation. Billy was a loved and devoted husband to Mary Patricia Bohanan for 42 years. They lived in Amber for 30 years where they raised 4 children. Billy was retired from Tinker AFB where he worked for 30 years as a mechanic. In his retirement Billy enjoyed spending time gardening, playing dominoes at senior citizens and his church Son Rise Baptist Church. Billy Ray was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers. Billy Ray is survived by his wife Mary Patricia of the home, Sons and their spouses Billy Ray Jr. of Amber, Vance & Cyndie of Midwest City, Jason & Tammie of Bridgecreek and 1 daughter and her spouse Annette and Gary Ast of Chickasha. He was a loving and adored grandfather to his 12 grandchildren, Matthew, Kelly, Jerrad, Jesse, Nicole, Samantha, Stephanie, Dakota, Simone, Natasha, Bradan and Cheyenne. He is also survived by his sisters and their families Evelyn & Jay McIntire of Piedmont, Jean & Virgil Addis of Borger, TX, Elwanda & Dean Lundy of Retrop, OK and brother Campbell Bohanan of Retrop. We would like to thank Vista Care hospice for their care and support. We will all miss his sense of humor and wisdom. Funeral services will be held at Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha at 3 :30 p.m. on Sat. the 24th with interment to follow at Fair Lawn Cemetery.
