All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Bohannon, Marscilla Hughes "Marscia" Marscilla 'Marscia' Hughes Bohannon, a 40-year resident of Del City, Oklahoma, died August 20, 2005 while visiting in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born November 21, 1918 in Dallas, Texas, and married Marvin J. Bohannon just after World War II ended. The Bohannons lived in Cushing, Shawnee, and Del City, Oklahoma. She is survived by two sons, George and Paul, and four grandchildren, Jovany, Alan, Brent, and Weston. Marscia was President of the Oklahoma Association of Legal Secretaries. She was an active Cub Scout den mother for George and Paul in Cushing. From 1965 to 1972, she was very active in the Del City DeMolay Mothers' Club. During World War II, she was the executive secretary for the Under Secretary of War. She was the last living person who regularly sat in the War Room. Her passion was collecting Bob Mackie Barbie Dolls. Marscia loved her neighbors and those with whom she worked. She was always a good mother and a good person. She lived her life with dignity and sought to instill good manners in her children and grandchildren. Marscia and her family are so appreciative of Dr. Hamilton and The Midwest Regional Hospital Cancer Center of Midwest City, Oklahoma and The Lighthouse Hospice in The Woodlands, Texas. Graveside services only will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m. 44901 Highway 3, Shawnee, Oklahoma (405) 273-3345. The family will host a gathering for her friends at Marscia's house after the graveside service, probably beginning about 4:00.
