Born November 15, 1912, he was orphaned at age 4, and was predeceased by the aunt and uncle who raised him, his sister Irene, and long-time best friend, Loupe Gravley. Booster is survived by chosen family Ernestine Gravley, Alma and George Van Wagner, all of OKC , Carol and Larry Fugit, Omaha, NE, their children and grandchildren; daughters and sons-in law Betty and Jerry Sheldon, Cincinnati, OH, Mary Ann and Jerry Cantrell, Dallas, TX; cousin Mary Pauline and her husband, Buddy Stricker, Joplin, MO; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Booster retired from Atlantic Richfield Oil Co. as district manager in Shawnee and was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He was a Mason for over 50 years, and a member of the Shawnee Writers Club and the Organ Club. Booster enjoyed his frequent coffee and donuts and companionship with 'The Old Codgers' group at a local Shawnee donut shop. He will be remembered by many friends for his smiles of greeting, and the countless things he always did for everyone. Many thanks go to the management and staff of Brighton Gardens in OKC, and Hospice Center of Edmond, for the unfailing good care provided. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Burris and the Rev. Rusty Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Walker Funeral Service of Shawnee.
