They are now together again. Over their 40 year marriage they acquired and survived parenthood after the birth of 3 children - who in turn provided them with 6 grandchildren; who, to date, have provided them with 4 great grandchildren, bringing along over the years a herd of various and sundry 4-legged friends, and a few eccentric 2-legged ones. Katherine, who was raised in OKC with 3 sisters and 2 brothers, touched and enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to be near her. Whether she was 'Rosie the Riveter' at Tinker Field during WWII or tossing 'I Like Ike' buttons from the back of a flatbed truck with 2 young children in tow, to PTA and backyard plays, to serving as adjutant in the POW/MIA and as instructor for the Young Marines. She had a special place in her heart for 'her' Vets. Whether you were a service man, firefighter, or weary traveler, Katherine was there with a smile and a hug, and an incredible sense of humor! Our world is a better place because Katherine was in it, making our loss even greater now that she is gone. We will miss her more than mere words can say. The family thanks all the wonderful individuals associated with Lion Hospice for being there and asks that in lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Lion hospice.
