All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Brett, Johnnie Ozell Johnnie Ozell Brett long time resident of Oklahoma City and recently Tulsa, died February 26, 2003. Prior to her husbands death in 2000, Johnnie was the wife of Edward C. Brett. She was the mother of Edward H. Brett of Tulsa. Born in Moulton, Alabama the eldest daughter of Tennis and Luna McMillan September 7, 1916, she completed schooling at Marrietta, Oklahoma. Surviving sisters of seven siblings are Helen Tooker of Houston, Tommi Carlyn of Lawton and Ouida Benson of Loudon Tennessee. Prior to her retirement she was secretary to Justice Ralph Hodges Of the Oklahoma State Supreme Court and preceding that the Oklahoma State Legislature. Johnnie was an accomplished oil and water color artist, a caring and steadfast friend who seized every opportunity to help others. She was a very self sufficient and independent person until the onset of cancer impacted her physical abilities less than a year ago. This resulted in her move to Tulsa to be more accessible for her loving son Ed, daughter-in-law Patricia and granddaughter Piper. A memorial service is planned for 1:00 PM March 8, 2003 at the Temple Baptist Church, Northwest 30th and Villa Avenue, Oklahoma City.
