J.W., 73, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2002, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He was born November 14, 1928, in Gorman, Tennessee, to Earl and Lillie May (Bateman) Berryman, Sr. J.W. served his country in the Army during the Korean War in Germany. He retired in 1986 from Civil Service after 30 years of service in helicopter electronics. He enjoyed shrimping in the Gulf by his hometown of 36 years, Rockport, Texas. J.W. is survived by Jeremy Bateman; two brothers, Rev. Earl Berryman, Jr. and wife, Norma Jean and Al Berryman, both of Oklahoma City; nieces, Janet Berryman of OKC and Nancy of Cleveland, OK; two nephews, Albert Berryman wife Janice and James Berryman; and a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Flora Mae, and his parents. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 28, 2002, in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
