All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::?--Thatcher AZ Brown, Kent Kent "Pat" Brown was born August 21, 1943 in Phoenix, AZ to Verl and Lorena Brown. He passed away on August 21, 2007 in Oklahoma City, OK after a year of battling with cancer. Pat is survived by his beloved wife Sandra; his step-sons, Scott Myers (Shelley Myers) and Doug Myers; his children, Stephanie Kleinlein, Natalie Anderson, Ryan Brown, Melissa Abney, Shelby Fuller, Courtney Orem, Brook Tuttle, Brittany Skinner, Wyatt Brown, and Briley Brown; 35 grandchildren; his brother, Mike Brown; his sisters, Judy, Becky and Donna Lee; and many relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by his mother Lorena (Neely) Brown; his father, Verl Brown; and his brother, Kelly Brown. Pat was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in which he served a 2 year mission in Norway. Pat held various callings in the church. Pat retired on July 1, 2006 as Captain of the City of Mesa Fire Department with 38 years of distinguished service. After retirement Pat and Sandra built a new home on 40 acres in Oklahoma where he planned to farm, raise cattle and enjoy his grandchildren. Pat had an insatiable love for life and greatly enjoyed his grandchildren, family and friends. In addition to his family, his hobbies were all outdoor activities, riding 4 wheelers in the desert and mountains and collecting guns. Pat also worked for 25 years hanging wall paper when he wasn't at the fire station. Services will be held at Alta Mesa Stake Center (5350 E. McLellan), Mesa, Arizona Monday August 27, 2007. Viewing starts at 9:00 a.m. with funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. in Thatcher, Arizona where he will be buried next to his mother and father.
