All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Norman Transcript 09/22/2003 Bruce Cook Cook Bruce Cook, 46, of Noble died Saturday, Sept. 20 at his home in Noble. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Memorial Chapel with Father Tom Boyer officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Maguire Cemetery in Noble. Memorial Chapel Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Cook was born to Norman and Reba (Pickens) Cook on Feb. 11, 1957 in Oklahoma City. He attended Moore High School and received his G.E.D. in 1976. Mr. Cook was employed with Harold Brockhaus at Brock’s Garage, east of Noble in 1985 and then later leased the garage and operated it until 2001. In addition to working at the garage, Mr. Cook was a rancher who raised and trained horses. He specialized in Peruvian Paso’s, Quarter Horses and Paint Horses. He enjoyed children, fishing, animals of all kinds, flower and vegetable gardening and spending time with his family. In July 2001, Mr. Cook married Dr. Nancy Brown in Oklahoma City and established a home east of Noble. Mr. Cook was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his father in 1980. Survivors include his wife, Dr. Nancy Brown Cook, of the home; his mother, Reba Cook, of Wanette; two sons, Jason Beach and Marc Watson of Missouri; one daughter and her husband, Jennifer and Ryan Lampe of Alabama; three brothers, Alyn Hill, of Oklahoma City, Charles Cook and his wife Teresa, of Choctaw, and Donald Cook and his wife Robin, of Lexington. He is also survived by one sister, Tammy Cook, of Wanette; two grandsons, Blaine and Blayden; one niece, six nephews and numerous other relatives and friends. Bearers will include Charles Cook, Alyn Hill, Donald Cook, Ryan Lampe, Don Cory, Mark Brown, Pete Brown, Jack Carson, Percy Moreu and Tim Gestes.
