All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Lexington Cemetery--Lexington OK Cox, Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Mary Elizabeth 'Liz', after suffering for four years Liz passed away peacefully Sunday, March 2, 2003. She was born Sept. 9, 1921 in Rhone, TX to Doyle and Willie Grimes. Liz celebrated 63 years of marriage with the love of her life, Don Cox. She had been a resident of the OKC area since 1952 moving here from Norman, OK. She had been an active member of Southwood Baptist Church for over 40 years. She had many hobbies including quilting, writing poetry, music, and enjoyed being in television commercials. Liz and Don also enjoyed the RV Club over the past five years. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Survivors include her loving husband, Don of the home; two sons, Phillip Cox and his wife, Janet of OKC, Gary Cox and his wife, Maggie of OKC; one daughter, Sandra Sloan and her husband, David of Yukon, OK; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at the South Colonial Chapel of Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary.
