All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Highland Cemetery--Lawton OK Cox, Hazel Oleta Funeral services for former Lawton resident, Hazel Oleta Cox, 90, Oklahoma City, will be 1:30 PM Saturday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with George Ramsey, Elder, Penn South Church of Christ, Oklahoma City, and Earl Siegrist, Church of Christ Minister, Hollis, officiating. Mrs. Cox died Wednesday in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery. She was born on April 30, 1912 to Thomas and Rosa Belle (Lee) Palmer. She married Claude V. Cox in Alex, Oklahoma on May 12, 1932. He died on May 18, 1963. She was a member of the Parklane Church of Christ in Lawton. Survivors include: 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Claude Cox and Nancy, of Atlanta, Georgia, Joe Cox and Deborah, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter: Mona Cox, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 5 granddaughters, 2 great granddaughters, 8 great grandsons. Surviving sister: Luna Armstrong, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, many other family and friends. Her parents, husband, infant son, 3 sisters; Velma Herring, Virgie Armstrong and Elwa Shaw, and a brother, Wiley Palmer, preceded her in death.
