Chadwick, Mamie D.

Mamie D. Chadwick, 83, of Oklahoma City, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in East Amarillo Church of Christ with
Cecil Burch officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery at Amarillo by
N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd., in Amarillo.

Mrs. Chadwick was born in Childress County. She was a baker for the
Herring Hotel in the early 1950s. She organized singing groups for nursing
homes for 10 years. She had been a member of East Amarillo Church of
Christ for more than 30 years.

She married Leroy W. Chadwick in 1953 at Clovis, N.M. He preceded her in
death. She also was preceded in death by a son.

Survivors include a son, Bill Vinson of Oklahoma City; a brother, Marvin
Davis of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Martha Vincent of Fritch and Pauline
Love of Orange County, Calif.; three grandchildren; eight great-
grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and
four stepgreat-grandchildren.

The family will be at 4305 Omaha St.
