Chloe was born on July 12, 1920 to John and Ella (Lanning) Snyder in Omaha, AR. She graduated from Jones High School in 1938 and married Seth Nelson Clifton March 9, 1947, in Oklahoma City. She worked for Sears Roebuck Credit and was a cafeteria manager with the Oklahoma City Schools. Chloe was a long time active member of Classen Boulevard Baptist Church where she enjoyed helping and teaching in Bible school and served as chairman of the bereavement committee for many years. She was a member of VFW Post #1857, serving on various committees and as past president. She also volunteered for many years for the Oklahoma County Senior Nutrition Program. She enjoyed the time and fellowship she spent at the Kelly Senior Citizen Center and Britton Christian Senior Citizens. When her health limited her activities, she became a Phone Buddy with RSVP of Oklahoma. Her husband, infant daughter, Susan, her parents, three brothers, and one sister preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Beasley and her husband Ronny of Hugo, and Marilyn Matthews and her husband Gary of Edmond; four grandchildren, S. Craig Dickey and wife Kathy of Tulsa; Keeli Smith and husband J. Harmon, of Wynne, AR; Krista Beasley of Stillwater; and Jennifer Beasley of Norman; one step granddaughter, Carrie Matthews of Oklahoma City; and her four great granddaughters whom she held very close to her heart, Erin, Corie, and Paige Dickey, and Chloe Smith. The family wishes to thank Dr. Stephen Adler, his staff, and the special people at Select Hospital at Deaconess - who spent time helping and supporting Chloe through the hardest year of her life. We learned so many things from this strong and loving woman, and we look forward to the time we will spend with her when we meet her again in heaven. Services for Chloe will be held at 2 o'clock, Monday, February 10, 2003 at Demuth Funeral Home in Oklahoma City. DEMUTH FUNERAL HOME 1145 W.
