Collins Jr. passed away Sunday, March 27, 2005, at his home. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Mansfield. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm St., Mansfield. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Harold's name to the Rendon Volunteer Fire Department. Harold was born Aug. 15, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He served three years during the Korean War in the Marine Corps. He later attended Oklahoma State University and received his bachelor's degree at Arlington State College. He received his master's degree at the University of Dallas. He was employed for 33 years at LTV Aerospace and Defense. Harold was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was truly a remarkable person as well as a loving husband and father. Survivors: Wife of 53 years, Shirley Collins; children, Cory Collins and wife, Pam, of Mansfield, Terri Lassiter and husband, David, of Mansfield and Cindy Collins of Austin; mother-in-law, Fyrn McLaughlin; grandchildren, Amber Lindley and husband, John, Ami Collins, Brittny Boyd and Justin Collins, all of Mansfield; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Collin Lindley of Mansfield.
