All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Collar, Edna Elisabeth (Betty) Edna Elisabeth (Betty) Collar of Oklahoma City, passed away (9-19-2002, OKC). She was born January 5, 1912 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Charles Earnest and Edna Milner LeCompte. She attended Classen High School in Oklahoma City. She attended Randolph Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, Virginia and received her degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1933. She was a member of Town Hall, Philharmonic League, Planned Parenthood, Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Oklahoma City Art League, The Junior League of Oklahoma City, P.E.O Sisterhood, Art Renaissance and Twentieth Century Club. For 20 years Betty was a volunteer Docent of the Oklahoma Art Center. She was a Director of Volunteers of Presbyterian Hospital accruing over 22,000 hours of volunteer service. Since 1948, Betty has been a member of All Soul's Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild. She served on the board of Directors of the T.H. Rogers Lumber Company. She was predeceased by her husbands, William Bernard Kennedy, and Jacob Frank Collar, her sister, Edith Kiger Patterson, her sons, William Bruce Kennedy and David Earnest Kennedy. She is survived by her daughters, Elisabeth Kennedy Dunkin of Tulsa and Janet Anne Kennedy of Edmond; two daughters-in law, Louise Kennedy of Little Rock, Arkansas and Deanna Kennedy of Edmond, ten grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at All Souls Episcopal Church, Sat, Octoboer 5, 2002 at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be made to All Souls Episcopal Church or a favorite charity. GUARDIAN NORTH 11600 N.
