(Killer) Bob A. (Killer), 77, passed from this life on Friday, February 21, 2003. Born April 21, 1925, in Tulsa, OK. He proudly served our country in the Army in the European theater during World War II. He retired from Tinker AFB where he held many positions, but his favorite was working on jet engines. As a member of American Legion Post 170, he helped launch Legion baseball in Midwest City in 1962. For 40 years he was involved in the program, sometimes as a coach, scouting players, working the ball diamond, bringing soft drinks to the players at practice, road trips or wherever needed; he was there. He touched the lives of hundreds of young men and their families. Many of the players went on to play professionally; some in the major leagues. He also loved to travel, go fishing, play golf and play dominoes. Preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Jeanette Cain, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Mourning his loss are his wife, Barbara; a son, George & his wife, Susie Cain; a daughter, Nelda Sue Kent & husband, Ed; a daughter, Deborah McFarland & husband, Jim; a son, Mark Palmer & wife, Mary; grandchildren: Michael, Savannah, John, Matthew, Angela, Heather, David, J.P., and Sarah; and great-grandchildren: T.J., Victoria, Casady and Abigail. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 24, 2003 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment at Arlington Memory Gardens.
