He was born to Dortha & Carl Leon Comes in Oklahoma City on August 25, 1942. Dale married his devoted & loving wife, Grace, on January 26, 1963 in Conway, South Carolina. They were blessed with three wonderful sons. Dale served his country in the Marines & received an honorable discharge. After moving to Okla. City, Dale spent 31 years as an outstanding employee of OG&E. He was very proud of his accomplishments as coordinator of the OG&E Linesman Expo, a position he filled for 13 years. Dale's family was most important in his life. He was a devoted husband and father. Family and friends always knew they could count on him. After his family, his greatest joy was his involvement in high school wrestling in the state of Oklahoma. It will be a long time before another person has as large an influence on wrestling at Carl Albert High School. He was one of the founding fathers of the CA Takedown Club & served as its president for 10 years, even after his sons had graduated. He served as co-director of the Carl Albert wrestling tournament for 18 years, & helped run the computer bracketing for the Oklahoma State Wrestling Tournament for an equal time period. Dale was an active participant at the Oklahoma Coaches Association All State games. But, those who were privileged to hear his play by play descriptions of Titan wrestling matches will never forget his enthusiasm & excitement. He will be greatly missed by all those in the Titan Athletic family. Dale was preceded in death by his father, Carl Leon Comes. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Grace, mother Dortha Comes, sons Robert Comes, Richard Comes, & Ronald Comes, sister Carlene Page Ewing, grandchildren, Robert Comes II, Tyler Comes, Landon Comes, Jacob Comes, Trevor Comes, Lindsey Patrick, Brittany Comes, Rhianna Comes, Colton Comes, Brandon Napier, Brittanie Napier, Dylan Napier, & Michael Beres, 3 nieces & nephews, 4 great nieces & nephews, and innumerable friends.
