Prayer vigil will be at 7 p.m. today in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the church with Monsignor Joe Bixenman, Monsignor Harold Waldow and Monsignor Francis A. Smyer officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Cross was born in Wichita Falls on Nov. 26, 1931, and moved to Dalhart as a child. She graduated from Dalhart High School in 1949. She started her banking career in Dalhart, then moved to Amarillo, where she continued in the profession for 40 years. She married Carroll "Buddy" Cross on Oct. 30, 1955. She had been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for 50 years and was active there in St. Catherine's Circle. She had been a volunteer in the area, devoting time to Meals of Wheels, Hospice of Amarillo, Catholic Family Service, Zonta International Women's Service Club and tutoring students in the HOSTS Program. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 11, 1992. Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Teter and husband, Clay, of Charlotte, N.C., and Lisa Brea and husband, Ruben, of Richardson; four sisters, Gaynell Monroe of Amarillo, Carol Freeman of Dalhart, Dottie Bradshaw of Oklahoma City and Lynn Rutledge of Aurora, Colo.; a brother, Don Koehler of Bakersfield, Calif.; her mother, Cecilia Koehler of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Caitlin Teter, Sean Teter, Claire Teter, Carolina Brea and Gabriela Brea; her dedicated caregiver, Kim Hoelscher; and many other beloved family members. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice in care of Olivia's Angels; Meals of Wheels; Catholic Family Service; or St. Mary's Catholic Church, Building Fund.
