All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Creager, Carrie Carrie, 91, died Friday, November 29, 2002, in Oklahoma City. She was born on August 20, 1911, in Cherry Hill, AR, to Will Dee and Maudie Ann Philpott. Carrie graduated from the Mena, AR, high school and attended Tyler Commercial College in Tyler, TX. She moved to Oklahoma in 1932, where she worked as a court reporter. Carried married Campbell LeFlore, who passed away in 1960. In 1972, she married Rev. Ferdinand Renz. At that time she retired after 19 years as a legal assistant and they moved to Coronado, CA. For the next 20 years she enjoyed serving their church, St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Carrie was also active with the San Diego opera, the symphony, the Coronado Women's Club, and the Bay Garden Club. After her husband died, she moved back to Oklahoma City where she met and married George Creager, who died in 1998. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Ann (LeFlore) Bernardy and son-in-law, Jerry, of Oklahoma City; grandson, Dr. Jeffrey Bernardy of New York City; granddaughter and her husband, Carrie and Mike Jarman; great grandchildren, Michael and Jackie Jarman of Edmond; and a niece, Connie Waters of Worthington, OH. She was a resident of Epworth Villa and a member of the United Methodist Church of the Servant. She will be remembered with admiration and affection for her cheerful courage and loving trust in God. Memorial gifts in her honor may be made to the charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 5, 2002, in the Chapel of the Cross at the Church of the Servant.
