He was born July 29, 1915 in Acme, OK to Louie Andrew and Alpha Irene (Cast) Clay. Lee worked in the oil industry and owned and operated an oilfield supply business for over 60 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 daughters, Judy Pack and infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth; 3 brothers, Little Britt, Herbie, and Maurice Clay; and 4 sisters, Edith Nichols, Zelda Skaggs, Irene Colby, and Jo Ann Walker. Survivors include his loving wife, Virgie Clay of the home; sons, Jim Clay and wife Gloria of St. Thomas, Richard Clay and wife Shirley of OKC, Cecil Clay and wife Elaine of OKC, Commander Phillip Clay and wife Ellen of Virginia Beach, VA; daughters, Peggy Sanders and husband Aron of OKC, Pamela Campbell and husband Tim Taylor of Mukilteo, WA, Paula Clay of Washington, DC, Penny Strauss of Edmond, WA; 20 grandchildren, Kristie, Nat, Michael, Jennifer, Micah, Zane, Brandy, Tara, Blair, Reid, Vicki, Tracy, Jeff, Tammy, Corene, Cecil Wayne, Sue, Jimmie Doyle, Andy Wayne and Laura; 17 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Clyde Clay and wife Ruth of OKC and Leon Clay and wife Martha; brother-in-law, Jerry Walker; 2 sisters-in-law, Willa Faye Clay and Elzavan Clay; and an abundance of loving nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and many friends. Services will be 1:30 PM Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Rancho Village Baptist Church with burial to follow at Amber Cemetery in Amber, OK.
