Cole, age 71, a resident of Delhi passed Saturday, February 17, 2007 in Modesto, California. She was born March 30, 1935 in Oklahoma to the late Earl and Bessie Dawson. Dolores grew up in California. On September 11, 1955 she was united in marriage to Clyde Cole in Reno, Nevada. Dolores was a beautician for over 36 years. Some of her hobbies consisted of oil painting, bowling, crocheting, and knitting. She was a very good stream stress. Dolores enjoyed cooking, especially for her family. She could really do anything that she put her mind to. Dolores recently loved operating the computer. She was a Loving Wife, Mom, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend who will always be in our hearts and memories. Dolores is survived by her husband, Clyde Cole of Delhi, CA.; a son, Anthony Cole of Cottage Grove, OR.; a daughter, Sandra Jeanine Strickland of Dos Palos, CA.; two brothers: Glenn Dawson of Kerman, CA. and Gary Dawson of Tranquility, CA.; two sisters: Darlene Davis of Ceres, CA and Betty Quijada of Modesto, CA.; four grandchildren: Melissa Peinado of Lehi, UT., Cole Strickland of Dos Palos, CA., Candace Cole of Cottage Grove, OR. and Dana Glenn of Mesa, AZ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Gene Dawson. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Winton District Cemetery in Winton, CA. Pastor Vernon Boyd will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home in Atwater.
