Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, Okla. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Arlington Funeral Home. Evelyn was born March 14, 1925, to Sadie Lou Herald and John Cyrus Young. She was educated in Edmond, Okla., before moving to Fort Worth. Evelyn later moved to Arlington in 1953 and married Ray Collier in 1955. She worked at LTV and Texas Instruments before retiring in 1966. Evelyn was a member of First Baptist Church of Arlington and a lifetime member of Fort Worth Golden Doller's Doll Club. She was in the original group that started the Pink Ladies, now the Auxiliary Volunteers at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Her main interests were her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sadie Young; sister, Nettie Curon; and brother, Harold Young. Survivors: Husband, Ray Collier; daughter, Linda Miller; sons, Jim Gayda and Billy Ray Collier Jr.; grandchildren, Lisa White of Arlington and Jason Miller of Houston, Tracy, Angela, Rachel and Jonathan Collier of Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Bailey and Michael White of Arlington and Caitlin Miller of Houston.
