She died peacefully surrounded by her loving family who will miss her greatly. Polly is survived by her husband, best friend and soul mate of 60 years, Ivan. She is also survived by three children, Robert, Ellen and Kenneth. Polly also has 5 grand- children, Dana, Tyler, Emma, Nicholas and Abigail. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother. A sister Geraldine lives in Napa, California. Polly was born in Rogersville, Missouri, but grew up in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Central High School there, and later received her teaching degree from Texas Western College, now UTEP. She taught High School English until she had children, and then began her very successful career as the World's Best Mom. The door to the home was always open to kids of all ages, many of whom continued to visit long after childhood days were over. Polly was president of the Kiva Elementary School TPA for a number of years. During that time she was often in charge of the Carnivals and they were the 'funnest' ever. That's because she was truly a kid at heart and will with out a doubt liven things up in heaven. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Tuesday, April 10th at 1 pm at Scottsdale United Methodist Church.
