Laura Devanney

Laura Devanney, 82, of Amarillo died Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery 
with Monsignor Joseph Tash officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler 
Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Mrs. Devanney was born in Canadian. In 1958, she moved from Shamrock to 
Amarillo. She was a homemaker and a registered nurse. She was a member of 
St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the Llano Estacado Chapter of 
the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She married Dr. Louis R. Devanney in 1939 at Oklahoma City.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sara Miller of Abilene and 

Laura Matthews of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Tom Devanney of Seattle, Wash., 
and Louis Devanney of Georgetown; and five grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to the Llano Estacado Chapter of the DAR 
or to a favorite charity.
