All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Sunny Lane Cemetery--Del City OK Doverspike, Marilyn Davis Cater Marilyn Davis Cater Doverspike, 70, of OKC passed away January 13, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born at Okemah, OK December 22, 1932 to Dave and Francis Davis and lived in the Oklahoma City area since a small child. Marilyn was active for a time n the Community Action Program where she helped numerous people to receive help on repairing their homes. She never stopped helping people. Although Marilyn was unable to do physical work after being disabled in an accident, she was a great business woman, establishing her business in Real Estate in order to take care of her family. A job well done. She will be deeply missed. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister along with being a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Love and husband Tom of Oklahoma City, and one son Gerald Cater of OKC; five grandchildren, Michelle, Brian, Zack, David and Christie; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Hacker and husband Robert of Blanchard, OK and Lorene Beard and husband James of OKC. Many nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Walker B. Cater and second husband, James Doverspike. Services will be held at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
